Hollande said he wanted to rally the forces of the green industry.

“We will create new quality jobs,” the French President told the UN climate change conference in 2018.

“The fourth industrial revolution is of crucial importance to us, particularly to France,” he said at the time.

He added: “If Europe wants to compete in the fourth industrial revolution, we have to respond.”
