Disturbing video shows fight outside bus shelter in Toronto as man is stabbed

A man was rushed to hospital after he was stabbed in the neck in an incident which reportedly took place just before 11:00 a.m. on Thursday in the heart of Toronto’s entertainment district. The 22-year-old victim suffered “significant” injuries and was described as “not doing well” by Toronto Police Chief Mark Saunders, who described the incident as “unprovoked” but said the victim, who is reportedly a “Star Wars” actor, was innocent of any wrongdoing.

Initial reports also claimed that the man was part of a large group who was attacking an Uber driver when a young man charged the group from a bus shelter, punching one of the victims and stabbing him in the neck before taking off with the group. It is believed that the incident began when a man at the bus shelter had shouted at the Uber driver to move away from the area.

Saunders told reporters that the man would likely survive the attack, according to Toronto TV station CP24. He added that “there is still more work to be done.”
