Car impasse: Techincal roadblocks

A lane of Bloor Street has been reopened. The lane is underneath a new section of sidewalk and next to the Blythwood Theatre that was rebuilt in 2018.

Crews made another significant repair to the brickwork around the sidewalk in front of a 250-seat theatre on the west side of Bloor Street. The concrete work is the biggest in a number of storms, and this one hit the area particularly hard.

An underpass on the north side of Blythwood will be covered with covered concrete slab for next year’s series.

Humbert Road has been partially closed overnight this weekend to fix potholes. The two crosswalks there are closed until Monday morning at 7:30 a.m. We’ll update when we have a bit more information.

Drivers have taken to Twitter in protest over the disappearances of parking meters on Dundas and Spadina streets, one after the other.
